At Eastcombe Primary School we pride ourselves on a broad, rich and deep curriculum which enables our learners to ‘Aim High, Believe and Achieve’. We are determined to develop well rounded individuals who are on a journey to becoming life long learners, this is achieved through an ambitious and personalised curriculum. We deliver a two year rolling program of topics, ensuring each year group is taught the National Curriculum Statutory Requirements and more. At the end of each unit of work our children are encouraged to recall the ‘Fab 5’. These are five key pieces of knowledge children need to know in each subject area in order to progress with their learning. More information about our curriculum can be found below.
If you require a paper copy of any document on our website then please ask at the office and this can be arranged.

Blended Curriculum
When required we continue to offer a blended curriculum. This is where our children can learn through face to face teaching in the classroom, or via an online digital platform. This remote learning package will be high quality, safe and align as closely as possible to our in-school provision. The remote learning will be integrated into existing school curriculum planning and will be required when a class, group or individuals need to self-isolate, if there is a COVID-19 related absence, or if there is a local lockdown requiring pupils to stay at home.
Music Development Plan
Eastcombe Primary School delivers a rich and diverse music education. We are proud of the opportunities we provide our pupils, especially those that involve the whole school and local community. This is a summary of how our school delivers music education to all our pupils across three areas – curriculum music, co-curricular provision and musical experiences.
