Welcome to Owl Class. I’m Mrs Monk the class teacher and Mrs Thomas and Mrs Webber work alongside me to help and support the children. We provide the children with opportunities to develop their independence and confidence.
We focus on English, Maths and Reading in the mornings and foundation subjects in the afternoon. Together, we work hard to create a classroom environment which inspires confidence and a love of learning. Our learning is topic based and this is reflected in the look and feel of our classroom.
Learning in Owl class is enriched by lots of practical work. We go on visits to support our learning and link the curriculum to the real world. We also welcome visitors. These experiences are so important for a rounded and full education.
We expect our older children to take increasing responsibility and allocate each Year 6 child an ambassador role that they carry out through the year. Examples of these include: drama ambassador, arts ambassador, charity ambassador and sports ambassador.
We are proud of the way our oldest pupils help and care for those around them.
