This week we thought we would offer the children something a bit different. Sadly we can’t do Sports Day in the traditional sense this year. There will not be parents and toddlers cheering from the sidelines, there won’t be team hugs and high fives for great efforts and sportsmanship, but there will still be a virtual and socially distanced sports themed day. At the end of the week teachers will not be setting the usual English and Maths home learning, but will instead set a range of sporting related activities for you to complete at home, or in school. These activities include designing a sports kit, completing word searches, creating a new ‘game or sport’ and then completing many different active tasks. We will focus on healthy bodies and healthy minds. Children will be asked to earn house points so we can award the House Cup at the end of term to the winning team captain. Watch this space for photos, examples of work and videos of the day. I encourage you all to join in.
