Lunchtime Enrichment Activities

This week we are delighted to launch our new lunchtime activities. Pupil voice last academic year told us that our lunchtime provision could be improved; the children felt they wanted more choice about activities available each day. We listened and have put together a 12 week rolling programme of activities designed to address movement, wellbeing and developing social skills. Any child is welcome to join in with the daily activity and have fun. Activities include; construction, obstacle course, colouring and wordsearches, traditional playground games, junk modelling, board games, singing and dancing and a variety of sports e.g. archery, basketball and skittles. Mrs Fowles is leading the new initiative and we have already noticed our school values shining through. Children are being kind to each other, working together and being resilient. We are most proud of the friendships being developed, especially across year groups. Our Year 6 ambassadors play a vital role in setting up and facilitating the activity each day. This is a fantastic example of our small village school working together as a family and taking the opportunity to smile and have fun!
