This term Mrs Fowles is running a popular after school netball club. The children are currently having fun learning basic skills such as catching, passing and shooting.
Hedgehog class had lots of fun taking part in their first archery session today. We learnt about safety, the correct technique and how to score points. We also took part in a series of fun competitive games against each other!
Daisy the praying mantis came to visit our class this week. She was very well behaved! We learnt about insects’ head, abdomen and thorax. The children were fascinated by Daisy and asked a lot of questions.
After the recent spate of warm weather it was slightly unfortunate that we ran our monthly mile for February in the pouring rain! However, the children all got really stuck in and enjoyed encouraging one another, to see if they could run/walk at least one mile (or more).
On a beautiful February afternoon, a team of 10 children from years 3, 4, 5 and 6 represented our school brilliantly at Painswick RFC. Term 4 Newsletter 201819 Term 4 Eastcombe Explorers In class 2 we will be learning more about our local area this half-term. We also have a class trip to Forest Green Rovers to look forward to, as well several PE lessons learning Archery with some local coaches!
Each class in our school will be taking part in Archery sessions during this half-term, with a team of coaches from a local club! The children are very excited at the opportunity to try out a new sport!
