This week a total of 10 year 3/4 children and 10 year 5/6 children represented our school at the local TK mini-olympics event. The afternoon was a great success and the special guest of honour was Jordan Howe, the current paralympic World Championship silver medallist in the 100m T35. Jordan spoke to the children about his achievements, fielded questions about his training, posed for photos and enjoyed watching the children competing with one another.
During the afternoon, children took part in 4 different activities, which were; 5-a-side football, athletics, basketball and hockey.
Both of our year 5/6 teams of children did brilliantly to win the small schools competition! All of our children represented the school brilliantly, in this penultimate event of what has been a very busy sporting year.
