At the end the of the Autumn Term, the children in Hedgehog class dressed in red, white and blue for a French topic morning. To begin with they had a question and answer session with a new parent and child who had recently started at our school, having previously lived in France. This was really interesting, particularly when drawing comparisons with schooling and everyday life.
Following this, the class then enjoyed learning about the famous French painter Claude Monet, before creating their own watercolour paintings of lily-pads. To finish off the morning, the children really got their teeth into some traditional French food. They tried freshly made crepes, along with a variety of sweet and savoury food.
